The Progress in 2023 Has Been Very Significant.
It’s hard to believe that the pictures on the left below show the lodge in October 2016, the day we toured to consider the possibility of restoring it. The pictures on the right below were taken in October 2023. Later additons were removed and a lot of repairs have been made. This year the foundation and chimneys have been rebuilt/repointed, and the siding and roofing installed.
Dining Hall repairs were completed. The failing roof structure was removed, the building was plumbed, steel headers were installed on the top plates, trusses and plywood sheeting was replaced.
Aiken Well Drilling drilled a new well for the lodge. We now have water!
