The 2026 work season has begun and the plate is very full! Last year all of the infrastructure projects were completed. The interior of the lodge has electric, water, HVAC and septic. We are no longer waiting for utilities so we can perform work on the interior, now they’re waiting for us! Your generosity has made possible work on these important projects. The following pages list just some of these.
Restrooms
The ground floor restrooms are being finished. The short walls were built and plumbed last summer (Left). The backerboard has been installed on the walls (Center, Right). A countertop will be poured on top the wall, and tile installed below. On studded walls the original wood paneling will be installed above the tile, followed by the stalls, doors and plumbing fixtures.
East Wing
The kitchen, ADA restroom, staff shower and office are located in the east wing of the lodge. The area needs structural support and modifications. The attic bracing (Center) will be removed after modifications to the roof structure. This will be the center's office. The steep staircase (Left) to the attic must be rebuilt to meet code. The ceilings in the main floor will receive reinforcement. Once completed, work will begin on the kitchen, restroom and shower room.
