Oregon Parks and Recreation Awards Friends of Santiam Pass Ski Lodge $20,000 Preserving Oregon Grant for Repairs in the West Side Foundation and Chimney

The Oregon Parks and Recreation with the State Historic Preservation Office, has awarded Friends of Santiam Pass Ski Lodge a $20,000 grant for repairs to the lodge’s west side foundation and chimney. Funds will also pay for repairs to damaged window sills. The need for these repairs was unexpected. Somehow water has been entering the chimney in several places, and leaking to the interior of the lodge. The problem was so bad that it left the floor soaking wet during times of heavy rain or wet snow. It will be a huge relief to have this fixed, making the ground floor dry when it is wet outside! FSPSL has been the recipient of five Preserving Oregon Grants, totaling $100,000! Thank you Oregon Parks and Recreation and the State Historic Preservation Office!
